Message
from Dr. Imani, Deputy of Health, on the Occasion of International Volunteer
Day
International Volunteer Day is a
valuable opportunity to honor those individuals who, with generous hearts and
steadfast steps, play an essential role in promoting community health. Health
volunteers, through their sincere efforts, continuous education, cultural
promotion, and unwavering support, have built a lasting bridge between the
public and the health system—a bridge whose outcome is enhanced awareness,
increased community participation, and strengthened foundations of public
health.
This year, under the motto “The path to
health needs companionship; join us, dear friend,” we emphasize the undeniable
truth that achieving health goals is impossible without the presence of
dedicated volunteers. The University of Medical Sciences deeply values the
impact of this vast network of community volunteers and extends its gratitude
and appreciation to each and every one of you. As we approach International
Volunteer Day (December 5 / Azar 14), I find it essential to express my
heartfelt appreciation to all health volunteers—to those whose hearts beat for
the well-being of the people and whose hands are always open to build a brighter
future. We hope that with the continued expansion of this nationwide volunteer
network and the strengthening of community engagement, we can take stronger and
more sustainable steps toward advancing public health.
With hope for the continuation of this
meaningful partnership and the growing role of volunteers in shaping a
healthier future.
